Megan Thee Stallion shared a letter she received from California Congresswoman Maxine Waters.

Congresswoman Waters congratulated Megan on her success and thanked her for uplifting black women in the op-ed she wrote for The New York Times.

One of the highlights of my year was getting a letter from Congress Woman @repmaxinewaters ? I am so honored to be recognized by such an amazing woman and I promise to keep using my voice and encourage others to use theirs ! ✊?

It is awesome that Mrs. Waters took the time to recognize Megan for her op-ed, and let her know that she is proud of her and has her back.

Megan referenced Mrs. Waters in the op-ed she wrote as a legend, and she put Mrs. Waters in the conversation with Shirley Chisholm, Loretta Lynch, and Carol Moseley.

Shout out to Maxine Waters for “reclaiming her time” to encourage Megan Thee Stallion on her good works.

Have you read Megan Thee Stallion’s New York Times op-ed, if so, what did you think of it?
