‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ Will Undergo Reboot & Move To MTV

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta moves to MTV
Paramount

Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” is undergoing a major overhaul that includes a new network, a new night, and a reboot.

Paramount is moving Season 11 of the long-running VH1 reality series along with “Couples Retreat,” and “Caught In The Act: Unfaithful” to MTV.

The shows will now be produced by Lashawn Browning’s Antoinette Media and they are hoping to find new audiences for the shows.

Nina L. Diaz, Chief Creative Officer and President of Content, Showtime and MTV Entertainment Studios shared her excitement saying:

On the heels of launching Antoinette Media with Lashan Browning, we’re thrilled to continue fueling our robust unscripted slate of hits on MTV and introduce new audiences to the cultural phenomenon ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ as well as fan favorites like ‘Couples Retreat’ and ‘Caught in the Act: Unfaithful.’

The biggest part of the restructuring is that Paramount is exploring a sale of BET Media Group, which includes VH1.

You may recall that both Tyler Perry and Diddy expressed interest in purchasing BET.

Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” Season 11, which is slated to premiere this summer is also undergoing a reboot.

The new season will follow a more docu-style approach to storytelling and will document the lives of women who have built their empires in Atlanta.

Last season starred Rasheeda, Karlie Redd, Yung Joc, Spice, Erica Mena, Safaree, Kirk Frost, Lil Scrappy, Sierra Gates, Yandy Smith, Bambi, and others.

Season 11 will also move from its staple Monday night schedule to form MTV’s Tuesday Night Takeover.

VH1 Couples Retreat” will be rebranded as “MTV Couples Retreat.”

The series follows couples attending a retreat, who are putting all of their chips on the table in Vegas, and they will be forced out of their comfort zones to rediscover each other with the help of unconventional, high-octane guest experts.

This includes ziplining through the Vegas Strip, survivalist training in the wilderness with an expert ninja survivalist, trapezing with former Cirque du Soleil performers, to herding cattle and untamed bulls.

Will you be tuned in for the new season of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta”…on MTV?
