Oscar winner Billy Bob Thornton is set to strike oil in Paramount+’s newest drama series “Landman,” premiering November 17.
The highly anticipated show from “Yellowstone” mastermind Taylor Sheridan dives deep into the high-stakes world of Texas oil fields.
Based on the acclaimed “Boomtown” podcast, this 10-episode series promises to expose both the grit and glamour of modern-day oil exploration.
Set against the dusty backdrop of West Texas boomtowns, “Landman” contrasts the lives of roughneck workers with billionaire wildcatters who are reshaping global economics and climate through their pursuit of black gold.
The series has assembled an impressive ensemble cast featuring:
- Ali Larter (“The Last Victim”)
- Michelle Randolph (“1923”)
- Jacob Lofland (“Joker 2”)
- Demi Moore (“Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans”)
- Jon Hamm (“Mad Men”) in a recurring guest role
- Special guest appearances by Andy Garcia and Michael Peña
Co-created by Oscar nominee Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, “Landman” will debut with a two-episode premiere exclusively on Paramount+, followed by weekly Sunday releases.
The series is a collaborative production between MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions.
