Kyrie Irving threw shade at Boston Celtics fans on Sunday (March 6), after his Brooklyn Nets team lost to the Celtics 120-126.
The NBA baller reacted to being booed saying:
Well, I know it’s going to be like that for the rest of my career coming in here.
So um, you know, it’s like the scorned girlfriend, you know, just wants an explanation on why I left still hoping for, you know, a text back.
And, I’m just like… yeah, it’s fun while it lasted.
Kyrie went on to say that he is grateful for the time he spent in Boston, and everyone in the locker room and the front office treated him well.
Watch the video clip below:
Although Kyrie did average 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists during his two seasons (2017-2018) with the Boston Celtics, the way the fans were cheering on their current star, Jason Tatum, and booing Kyrie suggests that they are happier now.
Jason Tatum had a season-high 54 points in the game.
Kyrie Irving is no stranger to controversy, but at the end of the day, you can’t deny his talent.
