KFC is kicking off 2022 by offering finger-lickin’ good plant-based Beyond Fried Chicken.
Starting on Monday, January 10, vegetarian customers will have the option of purchasing the chickenless nuggets, developed by Beyond Meat exclusively for KFC, at participating restaurants across the United States.
President of KFC U.S. Kevin Hochman said:
The mission from day one was simple – make the world-famous Kentucky Fried Chicken from plants.
And now over two years later we can say, ‘mission accomplished.’
Beyond Fried Chicken is available as a combo meal with Secret Recipe Fries and a medium drink.
You can also purchase the nuggets separately in quantities of six and 12 along with dipping sauces.
Actress and creator Liza Koshy has been tapped as the face of the KFC and Beyond Meat campaign.
Oh, one last thing…the Beyond Fried Chicken nuggets are cooked in the same fryer as their other meat products, so KFC cannot guarantee there is no cross-contamination.
