Kevin Durant the new superstar edition to the NBA Phoenix Suns and Brittney Griner of the WNBA Phoenix Mercury shared a powerful on-court embrace.

The visual of the two ballers hugging speaks volumes given that Brittney was detained in Russia for 294 days after pleading guilty to drug charges.
Brittney was arrested in February 2022 for bringing vape cartridges carrying a small amount of cannabis oil into the country.
She was sentenced to nine years in prison, but she was freed in December in a prisoner exchange for Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout.
All that is behind her now, and she and KD can focus back on trying to win a championship for the city of Phoenix.
KD is scheduled to make his Phoenix Suns debut tonight (March 1) against the Charlotte Hornets after his surprising trade from the Brooklyn Nets.
KD is also coming off of an MCL sprain injury.
BG and KD’s friendship was introduced to the world in a viral video from the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, where BG sneak-kissed KD on his cheek, and he responded, “You lucky I love you, girl!”
In the new video footage, KD and BG embrace each other like two friends who haven’t seen each other in forever, and it’s clear that their bond is strengthened by them both repping the city of Phoenix.
