This is not a drill! Kendrick Lamar has a new album on the way.
The Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper, who is now operating under the pseudonym “oklama,” announced the news on Monday (April 18) via his official oklama.com in the form of a press release.
The album is titled, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, and it is slated to be released on May 13, 2022.

Kendrick used a tweet that said he “officially retired” as a prompt for the announcement.
This will be the fifth studio album for Kendrick Lamar and his final under the TDE umbrella.
His last studio album, DAMN., released in 2017 earned Kendrick a Grammy for Best Rap Album and it became the first non-jazz or classical artist to win the Pulitzer Prize for music.
King Kendrick recently scooped a Grammy for “Family Ties,” his collaboration with Baby Keem.
The win brought his total to 14 Grammys and 39 nominations.
