Get ready for a laugh-out-loud comedy extravaganza! Keke Palmer and SZA are teaming up for Issa Rae‘s R-rated buddy comedy, One Of Them Days, set to hit the big screen on January 24, 2025, under TriStar Pictures.
After their unforgettable stint together on “Saturday Night Live,” where Palmer hosted and SZA slayed as the musical guest, fans are eager to see their on-screen reunion.
Directed by Lawrence Lamont, who you might know from “Rap Sh!t,” and written by Syreeta Singleton, this project has some serious star power behind it.
The dynamic duo of Issa Rae and Sara Diya Rastogi is producing, along with ColorCreative’s Deniese Davis and Macro Film Studios’ Charles D. King, James Lopez, and Poppy Hanks.
With this powerhouse team in place, expectations are sky-high, though the film’s plot is still under wraps.
This project is extra special for SZA, who’s making her acting debut.
With a musical career that includes four Grammy wins and an Oscar nod for her Black Panther hit “All the Stars,” there’s no doubt her jump to the big screen will be nothing short of electric.
Meanwhile, Keke Palmer continues her reign as one of Hollywood’s most versatile talents.
From iconic roles in “Akeelah and the Bee” and “Hustlers” to running her own digital network KeyTV and hosting her podcast “Baby, This is Keke Palmer,” Palmer is a creative force to be reckoned with.
This untitled comedy was born out of Sony Pictures’ CoCre lab, a collaboration between ColorCreative and Columbia Pictures that fosters fresh, diverse voices in screenwriting.
Palmer and SZA’s partnership is proof that nurturing new talent leads to magic.
Rounding out the cast are some familiar names, including Lil Rel Howery, Janelle James, Maude Apatow, Katt Williams, and more.
With a cast like this, plus SZA and Palmer’s undeniable chemistry, this buddy comedy promises to be one of 2025’s must-see films.
