It looks like Netflix’s ambitious Greek mythology series “Kaos,” starring Jeff Goldblum, won’t be returning for a second season.

The show, originally greenlit in 2018, followed an intriguing narrative centered around the paranoia of Zeus (Goldblum) as he confronts signs of his waning reign.

Despite its expansive ensemble cast, which included Aurora Perrineau, Janet McTeer, and David Thewlis, the series has been canceled after just one season.

Rumors of the cancellation were confirmed through a social media post from Perrineau, one of the show’s leads.

In her heartfelt post, she expressed how deeply she resonated with Charlie Covell’s scripts, sharing the emotional journey she underwent while working on “Kaos.”

For one of the first times in my life, I have found myself really proud. I’m, of course, proud of everyone’s work and the care they gave to this project, because, let me tell you, they left everything on the floor.

But I’ve also found myself proud of me, and that is something I’ve struggled with. When I got cast, I couldn’t believe that someone SAW me.

A girl who’s not only a minority but also a survivor of SA – and you’re telling me that someone thinks I could be one of the leads of a show, have agency, my own mission, and be desirable enough to be the love interest to not only one amazing human but two?

I was worthy of that? Everything that happened from that point forward really changed my perspective.

The actress praised her co-stars, including Misia Butler and Nabhaan Rizwan, and spoke about the special bond they developed while filming in Spain.

Produced by the UK powerhouse Sister and helmed by creators behind “The End of The F***ing World,” the series had left fans hoping for more.

Covell herself had envisioned a three-season arc, and the first season didn’t end with a major cliffhanger, leaving room for expansion.

Sadly, despite its strong performances and unique spin on mythology, “Kaos” will not be returning to Netflix.

Are you disappointed that “Kaos” won’t be continuing its reign on Netflix?
