Kanye West was definitely Ye-ing on “Good Morning America” (GMA) on Thursday (September 22), and he profoundly admitted that Sway Calloway “had the answer” during their infamous interview nearly 10 years ago.
Sway told Kanye in 2013 not to depend on corporate retailers to push his brand, but rather do it on his own, and he told Sway, “YOU AIN’T GOT THE ANSWERS MAN!”
He admitted that Sway did have the answer in 2013.
You know what… I would go ahead and say Sway had the answer.
I know people are going to be like NO!
Kanye also talked about using social media as a vehicle to amplify his voice, and he said he had to also amplify his voice to be able to successfully co-parent with the mother of his children Kim Kardashian.
This is the mother of my children, and I apologize for any stress that I have caused even in my frustration because God calls me to be stronger.
But also ain’t nobody else finna be causing no stress either.
I need this person to be least stress, and the best sound mind, and as calm as possible to be able to raise those children.
Kanye said he had to fight for his voice to be able to co-parent, and he said their was a parallel between what was going on in his home, what was going on at gap, and what was going on at Adidas.
I do have a voice, but I had to fight for it.
That hurts you when you have to like scream about what your kids are wearing.
And it’s just little nuances where there is a parallel to what was happening at Gap, what was happening at Adidas, and what was happening in my home.
It was all kind of a disregard for the voice of something that I co-created.
I co-created the children, I co-created the product at Adidas, I co-created the product at Gap.
There is a parallel, and the parallel does touch on discrimination.
Kanye said that discrimination even applied to his marriage because he wants his kids to go to school at Donda Academy and he has to fight to say so.
