Fulton County’s massive racketeering case against Young Thug and his YSL associates has a new presiding judge. Judge Shukura Ingram was appointed to the case following the recusal of Judge Ural Glanville, a decision that came after weeks of contention and controversy.
Judge Glanville’s recusal was the result of motions filed by defense attorneys, who raised concerns about an ex parte meeting involving the judge, prosecutors from the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, and state witness Kenneth Copeland.
This undisclosed meeting led to questions about the fairness and impartiality of the proceedings, ultimately resulting in Judge Glanville stepping down from the case.
