Judge Mathis isn’t letting 39 years of love and marriage go without a fight.
The longtime TV judge, whose real name is Greg Mathis, made headlines last week when his wife, Linda Mathis, filed for divorce.

Linda listed the date of separation as July 17 and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
Judge Mathis recently told TMZ that he and Linda are still living under the same roof and that he is trying to win her back.
“We’re still in the same house and we’re maintaining a friendship. And I’m trying to get my wife back. I have to show her that, though. Hopefully, I can show her while we’re there together. Hopefully, she doesn’t complete the process. I’m changing in hopes that she will. I’m going to get my wife back—how about that?”
Judge Mathis also shut down rumors that his divorce was sparked by accusations of him molesting a child.
When asked if there was infidelity in his marriage, the judge chose his words carefully, saying:
“Well, neglect can create suspicion. And if you’re gone as much as I am, you have every right to suspect.”
He added, “She would have a right to suspect infidelity.”
