Court records show the former NBA star-turned-ESPN host filed the divorce petition on April 30, 2021.
According to the divorce petition, Jalen said the marriage was irretrievably broken after Molly moved to Connecticut.
Ironically, the divorce filing came two months after Jalen lost his mother, who passed away in February from lung cancer.
You may recall, Jalen became overwhelmed with emotion on Mother’s Day while paying tribute to his mother.
A major loss like that can change a person forever.
While it’s sad to see their marriage end, the good news is the split was amicable and both sides remain cordial, which is necessary considering they work for the same company.
Jalen Rose and Molly Qerim quietly tied the knot in July 2018.
Now, they quietly ended their marriage.
In a statement, Jalen says he and Molly were separated for a year before ending their marriage.
We both agree remaining friends and colleagues is the best course of action for our relationship moving forward.
I wish them the best as they close this chapter of their lives.
