Things went completely wrong for Jaguar Wright after she was arrested in Dallas and charged with theft of property, a third-degree felony.
The 47-year-old singer, whose real name is Jacqueline Wright, was booked on Thursday, June 6, 2024, around 11 a.m.
It appears Jaguar already had charges for third-degree obstruction/retaliation stemming from a 2023 incident.
She was released on a $20,000 bond; however, in June 2023, her trial in that case was delayed after the judge ordered Jaguar to undergo an evaluation to determine if she was competent to stand trial.
The judge also instructed Jaguar to stay away from her alleged victim and to refrain from talking about the victim and the case online.
The trial was rescheduled for April 9, 2024.
Jaguar Wright must have failed to appear in court because a warrant was issued for her arrest.
In addition to the previous charges, the “Free” singer was arrested for theft of property between $30,000 and $150,000 after she allegedly failed to return a U-Haul truck.
Jaguar Wright called the “Sean Davie Way Show” and stated that her arrest was an attempt to silence her and to stop her from doing a scheduled interview.
According to the Dallas County Jail records, Jaguar was released early Friday morning.
