Amanda Gorman did such an amazing job with her poem at the 2021 Presidential Inauguration that her two books, which have yet to be released, are already at the top of Amazon’s Bestsellers list.
At 22-years old Gorman made history at the inauguration as the youngest inaugural poet in U.S. history.
The poem she read at the inauguration, “The Hill We Climb,” was amazing. Her wordplay and voice inflections were on point, and the content was impactful and timely.
Gorman is a Harvard grad from West L.A., and her poem visually impacted the audience at the inauguration.
President Obama tweeted, “On a day for the history books, @TheAmandaGorman delivered a poem that more than met the moment. Young people like her are proof that ‘there is always light, if only we’re brave enough to see it; if only we’re brave enough to be it.'”
Hours after reading her poem Gorman’s books “The Hill We Climb” and “Change Sings” became No. 1 and No. 2 in Amazon sales.
Gorman was ecstatic when she heard the news.
The books will not be released until September 21 but the pre-orders have been epic.
Congratulations Miss Gorman!
We look forward to hearing more great things from this Queen.
