‘Good Times’ Stars Jimmie ‘JJ’ Walker, Bern Nadette Stanis, & Ralph Carter Reunite At Urban One Honors

Good Times” stars Jimmie “JJ” Walker, Bern Nadette Stanis, and Ralph Carter reunited on the carpet of the 2024 Urban One Honors on Saturday night (January 20). 


The cast came together to celebrate 50 years of the iconic 70s sitcom, created by Mike Evans, Eric Monte, and Norman Lear.

Good Times” premiered in 1974 and gave us six seasons and 133 classic episodes featuring the Evans family before ending in 1979.

Walker, Stanis, and Carter starred on the show as the children of James Evans (John Amos) and Florida Evans (Esther Rolle). 

Jimmie portrayed “J.J. Evans,” an incredibly gifted artist and self-proclaimed “Casanova of the Ghetto.”

Bern Nadette starred as “Thelma Evans,” the beautiful and bright dancer, who puts her family and education first. 

Ralph portrayed “Michael Evans” aka “the militant midget,” who is passionate about activism and his support for the Black community.

I don’t know about you, but it does my heart good to see my “Good Times” family together and doing well.

Urban One Honors will air on February 25 at 8p/7c on TV One and Cleo TV.
