Gilbert Arenas took to Instagram on Thursday night to share a heartfelt update after welcoming his son, Alijah Arenas, home from the hospital.

As previously reported, the 18-year-old USC basketball recruit was placed in a medically-induced coma after crashing his Tesla Cybertruck on April 24.

After days filled with concern and prayer, Alijah is now recovering beautifully and back home with his family.

Gilbert posted a video showing Alijah’s welcome home decorations along with this message:

I want to thank Jose, Bryant, and Robert for saving @alijah0arenas — he can’t wait to meet you guys.

Truly grateful to everyone for the prayers, love, and support during his healing. Much love.

Gilbert also shared a lighthearted moment about Alijah’s sense of humor even in tough times:

Funny enough, Alijah told his boys way back: ‘If I’m ever in a coma, don’t bring flowers. Bust in rapping “I might swerve, bend that corner, woah” by @gelo like it’s the national anthem.’

Because nothing screams perfect timing like saying ‘Swerve on that corner, woah’… right after you actually did. Into a tree. Into a hospital stay 😮‍💨 🗣️WELCOME HOME ❤️ #adidas #uscbasketball #godisgood

Sending continued prayers and healing energy to Alijah as he continues to recover.
