Gervonta Davis arrested domestic violence in Florida December 2022

Boxer Gervonta Davis was arrested on Tuesday in Parkland, Florida, and jailed on a domestic violence charge of battery causing bodily harm.

The 28-year-old Baltimore native was processed into the Broward County’s Main Jail Bureau in Fort Lauderdale, where he was scheduled for an 8 a.m. hearing on Wednesday (December 28).

According to TMZ, he is accused of slapping a woman with a “closed hand,” leaving her with an abrasion on the inside of her upper lip.

Gervonta’s arrest comes just two weeks after his misdemeanor battery case from February 2020, where he “was observed battering his former girlfriend,” was dismissed.

The boxer is also scheduled to appear in Baltimore Circuit Court on February 16, 2023, for his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run incident in November 2020

Gervonta Davis is accused of fleeing the scene of an accident that involved four people, including a pregnant woman.

He is facing 14 charges, including failure to immediately return and remain at the scene of an accident involving bodily injury. He also is facing a civil suit.

Gervonta is slated to fight Hector Luis Garcia on January 7, 2023, in Washington, D.C. at the Capital One Arena.
