On a recent episode of ESPN’s “Jalen & Jacoby,” a shirtless Freddie Gibbs challenged DJ Akademiks to a celebrity boxing match.
On the show, Gibbs said he is a solid 185 pounds and DJ Akademiks is a soft 204 pounds, so they can make the fight happen.
According to Gibbs, Ak announced he wanted to be a part of a celebrity boxing match yesterday (December 7).
Gibbs said he doesn’t want any money if he wins he just wants Ak to delete his Instagram, and delete his Twitter, and leave the rap game.
For those that don’t know, Gibbs and Ak throw insults back and forth at each other on social media often.
The beef started when Ak used to be a host on Complex’s YouTube show “Everyday Struggle,” and he commented on an interview that Gibbs did where he called his former record label CEO, Jeezy, irrelevant.
At the time, Ak responded, “If Jeezy is irrelevant, Freddie Gibbs you’re absolutely irrelevant.”
Gibbs admitted on “Jalen & Jacoby” that he doesn’t have a real beef with Ak, but he would like to make that celebrity boxing match happen.

Freddie Gibbs is an amazing Grammy-nominated rapper, and I believe he would destroy Akademiks in a celebrity boxing match.
