Former Jets linebacker Avery Williamson is ecstatic about being traded to the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers.
Williamson took to his Instagram account to express his excitement about the trade, see the video below (slide 2):
Avery Williamson is going from a team that has not won a game in the Jets to a team who has not lost a game in the Pittsburgh Steelers so it makes perfect sense for him to be elated.
The Steelers victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday made them the only undefeated team in the NFL, and chatter of a perfect season capped off with a Super Bowl Championship has begun.
Williamson is expected to replace Steeler linebacker Devin Bush who suffered a torn ACL in Week 6.
Williamson will definitely be an asset to the team he already has 56 tackles, three pass deflections, and an interception in seven starts with the Jets. Williamson averaged at least 100 tackles in three of his first five NFL seasons.
Williamson will become a free agent at the end of the season, and I’m sure he will add to his resumé with the Steelers.
Do you think Avery Williamson will be a good fit with the Steelers?
