Jackie Johnson, the former Brunswick District Attorney who blocked police from arresting the men who killed Ahmaud Arbery, was arrested on Wednesday (September 8).

Johnson turned herself in to the Glynn County Sheriff’s office on Wednesday morning.

She was arrested and booked for a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of a police officer and a felony charge of violation of oath of office for showing favor and affection to her former employee, Greg McMichael, who his also charged in the death of Ahmaud Arbery.

She was released from the Glynn County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.

Johnson’s arrest comes six days after she was indicted by a grand jury for her mishandling of the Arbery case.

Johnson denies any wrongdoing, I guess that’s why she looks confused her mugshot.
