Erykah Badu, Beyonce 'Cowboy Carter'

Erykah Badu is trending in the streets of Twitter after she seemingly took issue with the limited edition vinyl cover of Beyoncé’s forthcoming Cowboy Carter album.

The cover features Bey in her birthday suit, with a sash adorning the words “act ii BEYINCÉ,” which is her mother Tina Knowles’ maiden name.

Beyoncé’s hair is in beads and she’s posed like the Statue of Liberty with a cigar in her hand.

Erykah Badu shared the photo via her Instagram Story with the caption, “Hmmm.”

In the year of our Lord 2024, it appears Erykah Badu feels like Beyoncé is now copying her beaded hair.

Erykah took to Twitter with a public plea for JAY-Z to help.

The “Window Seat” singer tweeted, “To Jay Z. Say somethin Jay. You gone let this woman and these bees do this to me?? 😆

Erykah Badu’s Past Issue With Beyoncé

Now, you may recall that it was just last year that Erykah Badu appeared to call Beyoncé out for wearing wide-brim metallic hats during her Renaissance World Tour

Erykah posted a photo of Bey with the caption, “Hmm.”

She also posted a photo of herself in her favorite mirror hat and wrote, “I guess I’m everybody stylist.”

Social Media Reactions

Erykah Badu is now trending on Twitter as people react to her latest shade/issue with Beyoncé.

Read a few tweets below.

Beyoncé’s longtime publicist, Yvette Noel Schure, entered the chat with a few braid receipts.

The caption on her post reads, “She slays. She slays. Now. Then. Always.”

Do you think Erykah Badu really has an issue with Beyoncé or is she simply having fun trolling the Beyhive?
