Ella Emhoff, Step-Daughter Of VP Kamala Harris, Makes Her New York Fashion Week Debut

Ella Emhoff, daughter of the Second Gentlemen Doug Emhoff and step-daughter of Madame Vice President Kamala Harris, made her New York Fashion Week debut in the Proenza Schouler show on Thursday, Feb.18.

Ella signed with the IMG Models agency in January, and she admitted that she was surprised to be signed to such a prestigious agency.

I was pretty surprised when everything with IMG was happening because when I was younger, I never saw that as being part of my timeline.

As someone who, like a lot of young girls out there, had self-confidence issues, it is intimidating and scary to go into this world that is hyper-focused on you and the body.

The president of IMG Models, Ivan Bart, said he spotted Ella after she wore a Miu Miu coat to the 2021 Presidential Inauguration.

Ella’s first look on the runway was a light gray virgin wool coat that featured a detachable shearling collar paired with slashed waist pants, butter-colored shearling slippers and a black piper bag.

Her second look was a navy leather belted trench coat and a yellow and black swirl print jersey turtleneck top—completing the ensemble with a dark navy quilted bag.

Her final look was a black virgin wool blend blazer over a pair of matching slashed waist pants.

See Ella’s second and third look in her Instagram post below:

She reminds me so much of the wife off of the FX tv series “The Americans.”

Ella is 21-years-old, and she is a student at Parsons School of Design.
