Donald said he was impressed by how Tiffany Haddish came into the Vanity Fair Oscar party and galvanized everyone.

He said that he emceed while she sang Tina Turner, and he felt like he was “getting something special” until people told him she does that for everybody.

Jimmy brought up Donald’s appearance on “The Shop“, LeBron James’ show, and the conversation he had with Qunita Brunson, the creator of “Abbott Elementary“, about who was more influential in music the Notorious BIG or The Beatles.

And Donald revealed that he just got into The Beatles’ music a year ago.

Jimmy complimented the first episode of “Atlanta“, and he shouted out FX for allowing Donald to tell the story.

Donald said he wanted to make the premiere episode like an event because he knew people were waiting on the show.

I always just wanted it to be like a movie.

I always want everything I do to be like an event.

So I was like, if people are going to be waiting a long time for this to come back, it should be an event.

Jimmy asked if there was a new Childish Gambino album was in the works, and Donald said he’s making a lot of music but it’s just a matter of how to experience it at this point.
