Actor Darius McCrary is looking to cash in on his latest arrest for unpaid child support by selling merch featuring his most recent mugshot.
We previously reported the 47-year-old actor was booked on one felony count of failure to pay child support on November 27, 2023.
According to court documents, Darius has an outstanding balance of $52,788.04 as of March 12, 2019.
During his arraignment, the judge set the actor’s bond at $13,197.01 and mandated GPS monitoring.
Darius was previously arrested in 2015 on a similar charge.
The “Family Matters” star took to social media on Monday to announce he is selling $50 jailhouse orange hoodies featuring his name, mugshot, and inmate number for those who “want to be in his business.”
Darius McCrary also posted a video on his Instagram account addressing his child support issues.
He states his son, who is now 15 years old, was kidnapped from him and his family over 10 years ago.
The video states Darius was placed on child support in Oakland County, Michigan, and was later arrested for allegedly owing over $100,000 in unpaid child support.
In the caption, Darius McCrary wrote, “How it started … Please follow and pray my son @z_alanoly777 he is now 15 & we are almost through the Underground Railroad nearing freedom ✊🏿I love u son…“
Hopefully, Darius gets everything sorted out and is reunited with his son sooner rather than later.
