In the final season of the hit drama series, “Snowfall,” Damson Idris had to go to some pretty dark places in his role as Franklin Saint.
During The Hollywood Reporter’s Drama Actors Roundtable with Pedro Pascal, Evan Peters, Kieran Culkin, and others, Damson reveal at one point he summoned the devil to come to him because he was “hitting a block.”
The 31-year-old actor shared that he suffered from nightmares every day for about a month afterward until he was able to get rid of that “energy.”
Damson Idris said:
I remember sometimes we do 10 episodes for my show and in this last season, I was hitting a block. I was like, ‘Oh, I’m not doing it right.’
So, I went in the corner and then I was looking at the wall and I was like, ‘Come on devil, come on devil…come to me…come to me.’
Because I had to do something crazy. I had nightmares for a month.
Like I had nightmares every day. I just felt that energy.
I had to pray and do all of this stuff to get rid of it and you know you call your mom up and you’re like bring me back to life.
That stuff is real.
