Da Brat is pregnant with Da Baby!
The 48-year-old “Funkdafied” rapper and her wife, Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart, are expecting their first child together.
The couple appeared on the “Sherri” show on Tuesday (February 21) and announced their exciting news by gifting Sherri with a shirt that said, “I’m going to be an auntie.”
Once Sherri realized the couple was expecting – she lost it and the tears flowed!
Da Brat, who is 18 weeks pregnant, opened up about how challenging the journey of expanding their family has been.
When Jesseca went through the process of egg extraction, it triggered ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, which causes ovaries to swell and fluid leaks into the body.
Jesseca also developed blood clots in her lungs and her heart enlarged.
Brat told Sherri, “She called her kids to tell them she loved them, which really freaked me out like my God. Like, don’t do that. I can’t lose her right now.”
The rapper-turned-reality TV star faced her own challenges when she decided to carry their baby.
She discovered she had fibroids, but thankfully they weren’t near her uterus.
Then, she found out she had polyps in her uterus and underwent surgery to remove them by Dr. Jackie from “Married To Medicine.”
Sadly, after all of that – they suffered a miscarriage.
But, now all is well and Da Brat and her wife, Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart, are looking forward to welcoming their first child together.
