Police have finally charged Courtney Clenney with the murder of her boyfriend Christian “Toby” Obumseli.
Toby was a Texan who came to Miami to work in cryptocurrency and his girlfriend, Courtney, aka Courtney Tailor, is a social media influencer who has millions of followers on Instagram and OnlyFans.
The stabbing took place on Sunday, April 3, inside their luxury high-rise Edgewater apartment and police called the incident a domestic dispute.
Toby was stabbed once in the chest after he and Courtney were “involved in a physical altercation.”
Her camp claims it was self-defense.
Days after Courtney stabbed Christian “Toby” Obumseli to death she was spotted at a bar having drinks.
Police have spent four months investigating the stabbing and mauling over whether or nor Courtney should be charged.
On Wednesday, Courtney Clenney was arrested at a rehab facility in Hawaii.
Her attorney, Frank Prieto, told the Miami Herald that he is in “shock” over her arrest.
“I’m completely shocked, especially since we were cooperating with the investigation and offered to voluntarily surrender her if she were charged,” he said. “We look forward to clearing her name in court.”
Clenney is expected to be extradited to Miami-Dade County in the coming days.
Watch the news report below.
Following his death, Toby’s old tweets resurfaced where he made incredibly disparaging remarks about Black women.
The tweets prompted Black women to “sit this one out” while Toby’s brother, Jeffrey Obumseli, called for everyone to support their efforts to get justice for Toby.
Jeffrey took to social media writing, “As a family, we strongly disagree with the ignorant and repulsive tweets from my then-high school-aged brother that have recently surfaced.”
“However, the tweets do not diminish our demand for a thorough investigation into Toby’s murder or negate the necessity for justice.”
I will keep you updated on any developments in this case.
