CONDOLENCES: Mario Mourns His Mother’s Passing – ‘I Love You Eternally’ (Video)

Mario is grieving the loss of his mother, Shawntia Hardaway, who recently passed away.

The R&B singer took to Instagram on Friday and posted a photo of himself and his mother with the caption, “Your soul lives forever beside mine! We love you Shawntia Hardaway I love you eternally.”

Mario has always been transparent about his mother’s struggle with drug addiction.

Back in 2007, the singer and his mother were featured in the MTV documentary, “I Won’t Love You to Death: The Story of Mario and His Mom.”

Last year, in an interview with Hot 97, Mario said his mother was “good,” but he also went to explain how he stepped away from being a “father figure” to her.
