Cedric The Entertainer recently took to social media to address Katt Williams‘ claims that he stole his closing joke for his iconic Kings of Comedy set.
Cedric denied stealing Katt’s joke and added that people have stolen jokes from him throughout his career.
In the video, posted on his Instagram page, Ceddy said:
I have no idea what this brother is talking about. That joke is over 30 years old.
I did the Kings of Comedy in 1999…probably had been doing that joke six or seven years before that. I don’t even know if Katt was doing comedy then. He’s a talented brother. I’ve never seen Katt do a space shuttle joke.
The caption on the video read:
Katt Attack
To all my peoples hitting me about the @kattwilliams commentary, I say no sir !! That joke has roots, tied into so many other of my jokes… To know me is know most of my jokes a very similar animated, characters acted out sense of humor. I’ve had jokes stolen, I’ve had similar premises to others as well, but that joke has DNA thats over 30 yrs old specifically from Me. Cigarette hanging from the lip and all.

According to Katt Williams’ bio…he’s been doing comedy since 1991 and Kings of Comedy was released in 2000.
Hopefully, all of this is just one big misunderstanding. ????
