CBS is keeping the mystery going! The network officially renewed its breakout drama “Watson” for a second season, set to air during the 2025-2026 TV season on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

If you’ve been riding for “Watson” since day one, you already know Morris Chestnut is delivering the goods as the iconic Dr. John Watson—reimagined in a bold, modern way.
And clearly, audiences are loving it.
The show is averaging 6.79 million viewers a week, and its premiere episode (which dropped after the AFC Championship Game) pulled in a jaw-dropping 18.7 million viewers across all platforms.
On streaming alone, “Watson” became the most-streamed scripted episode for any CBS Original this season on Paramount+, clocking 7 million views.

Alongside Morris Chestnut, the cast includes Eve Harlow, Peter Mark Kendall, Inga Schlingmann, Ritchie Coster, and Rochelle Aytes.
The series is produced by CBS Studios, with Craig Sweeny serving as showrunner and executive producer.
Morris is also pulling double duty as an EP—love that for him.
📺 CBS Is On Fire This Season
“Watson” joins a stacked list of CBS shows coming back next season, including “Tracker,” “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” “Matlock,” and “Hollywood Squares.”
The network is dominating the 2024-25 season with four of the top five new series according to Nielsen.
And with fresh new titles like “Boston Blue” starring Donnie Wahlberg and “Sheriff Country” expanding the “Fire Country” universe, CBS is seriously leveling up.
