Grab your 2024 Bingo Cards…Britney Spears took to social media to issue an apology for the tea she spilled in her memoir and expressed her love for Justin Timberlake‘s new single, “Selfish.”
Now, I’m not exactly sure what prompted this unexpected apology from Britney, but I may have an idea why.
‘He Didn’t Want To Be A Father’
I previously reported, in her memoir, The Woman in Me, Britney Spears opened up about getting an abortion while dating Justin Timberlake because he didn’t want to be a father.
It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy.
I loved Justin so much.
I always expected us to have a family together one day.
This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated.
But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy.
He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.
Britney admits in the book, “If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.”
Justin Timberlake got dragged like a Raggedy Andy doll through the streets of social media after Britney Spears shared the deepest secret of their relationship to sell books.
‘Selfish’
Fast forward to 2024, Justin Timberlake excitedly announced his forthcoming album, Everything I Thought It Was, and released his new single, “Selfish.”

After Justin released the song, Britney Spears fans ran up her 2011 single, “Selfish,” so that it would outperform her ex-boyfriend’s new single of the same name.
Britney Spears Issues An Apology
It appears Britney’s conscience may have gotten the best of her because she took to social media over the weekend and issued an apology to the people she “genuinely” cares about for some of the things she wrote in her memoir.
I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book.
If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry…
‘I Am In Love With Justin Timberlake’s New Song’
In addition to her apology, Britney Spears also noted that she is “in love” with Justin Timberlake’s new single, “Selfish.”
I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song “Selfish” 🌹
