BET Sets ‘Sunday Best’ Season 10 Premiere Date

BET has set the premiere date for season 10 of their hit gospel singing competition, “Sunday Best.”

The new season of the show, hosted by Grammy Award-winning artist Kirk Franklin, will premiere on Sunday, July 5, 2020, at 8 p.m. on BET.

Kelly Price, Erica Campbell and Jonathan McReynolds will return as judges.

The first three episodes of “Sunday Best” were filmed in front of a studio audience at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. However, production was shut down to the coronavirus pandemic.

Production resumed a few weeks back.

BET said in a statement:

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and in an effort to keep the shows judges, contestants and crew safe – new and innovative technology, techniques and artist-generated content were used to complete production of episodes four through eight of season 10 – allowing the audience to join in on weekly praise & worship during the time when America needs it most.

The winner of season 10 will receive a cash prize of $50,000, a recording contract with RCA Inspiration, and the title of “Sunday Best.”

Will you be tuned in?
