Ari Lennox was arrested in an Amsterdam airport on Monday (November 29) in what she says is a case of racial profiling.

The R&B singer, whose real name is Courtney Shanade Salter, was arrested at Amsterdam Schiphol airport for disturbing public order, according to Dutch military police.

Spokesman Robert van Kapel said:

Our unit found a woman full of emotions, that wouldn’t calm down. T

hat’s why she had to be taken into custody.

They also accused the singer of being drunk in public.

Ari took to Twitter to share the incident in real-time writing:

F**k Amsterdam security. They hate black people.

I just want to go home. I’ll never leave my house again.

Wow

They’re arresting me

I’m being arrested in Amsterdam for reacting to a woman racially profiling me

It’s unclear how long the singer will be held in custody as police are investigating claims of possible threats made by Ari Lennox during the incident.

I pray she is released and returns home safely as soon as possible.
