Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for “Berlin ER”, a high-intensity German-language medical drama set in one of Berlin’s most chaotic hospitals.
Formerly titled “KRANK Berlin”, the eight-episode series is co-created by former emergency room physician-turned-screenwriter Samuel Jefferson and director Viktor Jakovleski.
What Is “Berlin ER” About?
Set against the backdrop of a broken healthcare system, “Berlin ER” follows Dr. Parker (played by Haley Louise Jones, “Dear Child,” “Paradise”), a young doctor seeking a fresh start after a personal crisis in Munich.
She steps into a severely underfunded and overcrowded emergency room, only to be met with overworked staff, bureaucratic hurdles, and relentless medical crises.
Determined to implement necessary reforms, Parker faces pushback from fatigued colleagues who rely on dark humor to cope with the daily chaos.
But despite the system’s failings, the team must unite to save lives in an increasingly brutal healthcare environment.
“Berlin ER” Cast & Premiere Date
Alongside Jones, the series features Slavko Popadić (“Crooks”), Şafak Şengül (“Rabiye Kurnaz vs. George W. Bush”), Aram Tafreshian (“Dogs of Berlin”), Samirah Breuer (“The Gryphon”), Bernhard Schütz (“Barbarians”), Peter Lohmeyer (“I Don’t Work Here”), and Benjamin Radjaipour (“No Hard Feelings”).
“Berlin ER” premieres globally on Apple TV+ on February 26, 2025, with the first two episodes dropping at launch.
Subsequent episodes will release weekly on Wednesdays until April 9.
