Angela Simmons has released a formal apology for her green glittery pistol purse at the 2024 BET Awards.
After receiving backlash for the purse (which some are calling a cellphone case), Angela took to her Instagram Story and offered a quick apology while admitting she thought the bag was “cool” and a “fashion moment.”

When that didn’t go over as expected Rev. Run’s daughter released a formal apology noting that she made a “poor decision” that she “deeply regrets” it.
When I chose the purse, I believed it was cute and unique, and I made a poor decision in using it as an accessory to amplify my beauty.
I deeply regret that this item, which symbolizes a gun, was inappropriate and insensitive, especially given my personal and community experiences with gun violence.
Angela Simmons also asked for forgiveness for her “misstep.”
