Allison Holker, the widow of Stephen “tWitch” Boss, is facing widespread criticism after claiming she discovered he had a secret drug addiction following his tragic suicide in December 2022.

In an exclusive interview with People magazine to promote her upcoming memoir, Holker revealed she found a hidden “cornucopia” of drugs in tWitch’s belongings.
“I was with one of my really dear friends, and we were cleaning out the closet and picking out an outfit for him for the funeral,” Holker, 36, recounted.
“It was a really triggering moment for me because there were a lot of things I discovered in our closet that I did not know existed. It was very alarming to me to learn that there was so much happening that I had no clue [about].”
She detailed uncovering substances such as mushrooms, pills, and other items she “had to look up on her phone.”
The discovery left her shocked but also provided insight into the struggles tWitch may have been hiding.
“It was a really scary moment in my life to figure that out, but it also helped me process that he was going through so much and he was hiding so much. There must have been a lot of shame in that.”
Allison Holker also shared that reading tWitch’s journals and revisiting books he had annotated gave her a deeper understanding of his inner turmoil.
“It did have me feel a lot of empathy towards him and sadness for all the pain that he was holding,” she said.
However, her statements have ignited a firestorm of backlash.
Many of tWitch’s loved ones, friends, and members of the dance community have accused Holker of lying and tarnishing his legacy with her claims.
A cousin of tWitch took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their outrage, writing:
Yeah, IDGAF about an NDA. This crazy woman made me and his actual family sign an NDA just to even attend the funeral.
She’s been trying to tarnish his legacy and refuses to let the Boss family see the children.
Only to exploit and LIE on my cousin. Hell no.

The public dispute has brought significant attention to the family’s private matters, with many questioning the timing and motivations behind Allison Holker’s revelations.
Whether she’s telling the truth or not, sharing tWitch’s alleged addictions and personal traumas with the public after his passing is nasty work.
But, I guess Allison gotta sell those books somehow.
