Adam Levine took to the streets of social media on Tuesday to deny he had an affair with an Instagram model Sumner Stroh.
Sumner took to TikTok on Tuesday (September 19) and blew up the Maroon 5 singer’s spot when she claimed they had a year-long affair.
The 23-year-old said she is revealing this information because she “recklessly” shared screenshots of her exchanges with Adam with friends and one of them attempted to sell the tea to a tabloid.
Adam Levine has been married to Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo since 2014 and the news of this alleged affair comes less than two weeks after the couple announced they are expecting baby no. 3.
To add insult to injury, Sumner also shared a screenshot where Adam reached out to her this past June and asked if he could name his baby boy Sumner.
Adam released a statement on Wednesday (September 20) via his Instagram Story where he denied having an affair with Sumner Stroh, but he did admit to “crossing the line” by flirting.
He wrote:
A lot is being said about me right now and I want to clear the air. I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner.
I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life. In certain instances it became inappropriate: I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family.
My wife and my family is all I care about in this world.
To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only that that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make.
I will never make it again. I take full responsibility.
We will get through it. And we will get through it together.
