50 Cent‘s forthcoming Starz drama, “Black Mafia Family,” began filming on Tuesday (January 19) with our fave Tasha Smith directing the pilot episode.

Black Mafia Family” is inspired by the true story of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, two brothers from southwest Detroit, who birth one of the most infamous crime families in the country in the late 1980s.

Big Meech’s son, Lil Meech has been cast to portray him in the film.

Tasha took to Instagram to share her excitement about starting the highly anticipated project.
