50 Cent Responds To Michael Rainey Jr.’s Remarks About ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ Ending

Power Book II: Ghost” star Michael Rainey Jr. and fans were shocked to learn the series is ending with its fourth season.

Michael Rainey Jr. Blindsided By Cancelation Of ‘Power Book II: Ghost’

Michael initially took to his Instagram Story writing, “Don’t ask me nothing idk what’s goin on in them offices lmao they Trippin 🤷🏾‍♂️😂😂 final season otw tho I guess.”

Once the dust settled and reality set in, the 23-year-old actor released the  following statement to TSR:

Portraying Tariq St. Patrick in the ‘Power’ universe has been an incredible journey.

‘Power’ has been an amazing platform, opening doors for young actors like myself, and I’m truly grateful for that.

While the ending of ‘Book II’ may feel abrupt and disappointing, I choose to view it as a stepping stone for many of us as we transition into the next chapter of our careers. 

50 Cent Enters The Chat

When news broke that Michael Rainey Jr. was blindsided by the cancellation of “Power Book II: Ghost,” 50 Cent entered the chat.

The rapper and executive producer of the “Power” universe posted a screenshot of the TMZ headline: “Michael Rainey Jr. Says He Was Blindsided By ‘Power: II’ Cancelation.” 

In the caption, 50 Cent wrote, “Yeah because @michaelraineyjr don’t answer his phone 🤷🏾‍♂️

Starz is seemingly wrapping “Power Book II” up with a bow to make room for the forthcoming prequel series, “Origins,” based on the origin story of Ghost and Tommy.
