50 Cent called Omari Hardwick a “strange bird” after the “Power” star discussed how James “Ghost” St. Patrick’s storyline was mishandled.
According to Omari, he understands why fans of the show felt slighted when his character was killed off in the 6th and final season of the series.
While participating on a panel with Matt Barnes and Trey Young, Omari explained:
I’m with you in the sense that the way the story was sold and told to me is not fitting in the way that it ended guys.
So, y’all have every right to be like, ‘It didn’t end right.’
50 Cent shared a clip of Omari Hardwick’s remarks along with the caption:
👀This 🥷🏾is a strange bird 🦜 the f**k is he talking about,🤨I never done nothing but look out for him.
If he needed something I gave it to him. I understand now, that s**t didn’t matter at all. @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi
Over the years, Omari Hardwick has been very vocal about his gripes regarding “Power”; however, last month (June), he took to social media to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the series.
He shared multiple photos of the cast and crew along with the caption:
#Happy10thYearAnniversary @power_starz 💪🏾
I thank all of you world wide ghost riders & thank you MOST….our beloved New York!
You served as home to my tribe, you served as a main character in this beloved show, & along with the team of #Power…
You served as a launching pad for this rocket of a black boy from the dirty south of this country to be appreciated & respected across the globe.
May the sun always shine on you NYC (& all your burroughs)!
💫🙏🏾🌇
