Today marks the one-year anniversary of George Floyd’s death (May 25).
Many have taken to social media to honor and pay tribute to the man who has been credited with changing the world.
Some referenced the work we still need to do to make sure George Floyd’s death was not in vain, while other tweets focused on urging Congress to pass the George Floyd Justice In Policing Act, which aims to combat police misconduct, excessive force, and racial bias in policing.
The Floyd family visited the White House today to talk with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris about police reform.
Hopefully, these conversations and actions will result in some true change.
