The sequel is in early pre-production at the studio with Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah returning to direct from a script by Chris Bremner.
Bad Boys For Life, the third installment of the franchise, scooped an impressive $426 million worldwide before the Covid-19 pandemic brought to the world to a standstill.
The film still secured the second-best-ever Martin Luther King Jr. weekend at the box office.
Jerry Bruckheimer, Smith for Westbrook, Doug Belgrad, and Chad Oman are back producing; with Martin Lawrence, James Lassiter, Mike Stenson, Barry Waldman, and Jon Mone serving as executive producers.
