Travis Scott found himself in legal trouble in Paris after a physical altercation with his bodyguard. The 33-year-old rapper was arrested in the early hours of Friday, August 9, at the luxurious George V Hotel, according to French authorities.

The incident unfolded when a security guard attempted to intervene in a dispute between Scott and his bodyguard.

The Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed the arrest, stating, “On August 9, 2024, shortly after 5 a.m., police were called to the Georges V Hotel and arrested the individual known as Travis Scott for assaulting a security guard. The guard had stepped in to separate the rapper from his bodyguard.”

A representative for Travis assured fans that they are working closely with Parisian authorities to resolve the situation and promised to provide updates when available.

Sources close to Travis Scott indicated that he is expected to be released soon, emphasizing that no injuries were reported, and he has not been charged with any crime.

An insider revealed that the incident occurred after days of being hounded by paparazzi and a particularly chaotic evening at the hotel.

The source explained, “Travis was arrested after a fight with his own security detail, his bodyguard.”

This arrest comes just hours after Travis Scott was spotted with Quavo, attending Team USA’s basketball semifinal against Serbia at the Paris 2024 Olympics on Thursday, August 8.

Notably, this isn’t Scott’s first brush with the law this year.

On June 20, he was arrested in Miami on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing, though his attorney, Bradford Cohen, clarified that it was a “misunderstanding” with no physical altercation involved.

Prosecutors officially dismissed the disorderly intoxication charge at a hearing on Thursday.

However, it’s not all positive news for Travis, as the state of Florida is still pursuing a misdemeanor trespassing charge against him.

Travis Scott’s legal team is working diligently to resolve this latest incident in Paris, hoping for a swift conclusion.

At this point, Travis needs to stay in the house.
