Spice, Shaggy, and Sean Paul have a dancehall hit on their hands that has been dominating the reggae charts, and the longtime friends are happy that Spice is finally getting her just due.
Spice said she reached out to Shaggy initially to do the collaboration, and once they were in the studio listening to the track she felt Sean Paul would sound great on the song as well. So they reached out to Sean Paul and he was happy to do it.
Sean Paul said he feels the song showcases three icons from the same genre and “it feels like support, it feels like family, it feels like home.”
Shaggy said they knew the song would be something epic and they knew it would send a message of unity within their genre.
Spice said she was humbled and honored to be on the song with two legends, and the energy in the studio was amazing.
