Robin S. says she’s been flooded with calls from record labels, corporations, and artists wanting to work with her since Beyoncé released her single “Break My Soul” on Tuesday (June 21).
“Break My Soul” is the lead single from Beyoncé’s highly anticipated 7th solo album, Renaissance, and it contains a sample of Robin S.’s 1993 hit dance song, “Show Me Love.”
Robin says “Show Me Love” is her legacy, and she is grateful to have an artist like Beyoncé acknowledge and appreciate her music.
Since Tuesday, Robin’s team has received inquiries about licensing her “Show Me Love” master recordings for various purposes.
She says her team has also been frantically trying to vet offers as quickly as possible from ad agencies, record labels, and top DJs wanting to work with her.
Although Robin is busy traveling through North America and Europe on a sold-out tour through August, a good team will find a way to get to these money bags Beyoncé has provided.
Watch below as she speaks with “Good Morning Britain.”
Robin S’s “Show Me Love” reached #5 on Billboard’s top 100.
Do you think Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul” will surpass that?
