Early Tuesday morning, a shooting occurred outside rapper Drake‘s home in The Bridle Path, leading to a man being hospitalized with serious injuries.

Emergency services responded to the incident on Park Lane Circle near Bayview Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East around 2 a.m.

Fortunately, paramedics have reported that the injured man’s condition is stable, and his injuries are not life-threatening.

CityNews confirmed that the victim is not Drake.

Police are actively investigating the incident and have mentioned that the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle.

However, details about the suspect or the vehicle have not yet been disclosed to the public.

As a precautionary measure, law enforcement has cordoned off the area where the shooting took place.

At this time, no further information has been provided regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting or any potential motives.

This is a breaking news story and I will provide updates as they are released.

Update (via Rolling Stone):

Drake’s security guard was hurt in a shooting outside the rapper’s Toronto home on Tuesday morning, but Drake himself was not harmed, as Rolling Stone reported.

The CBC says the guard was likely shot in a drive-by, getting hit in the upper chest. He was found unconscious and had emergency surgery at the hospital.
