Model Chanel Iman and New England Patriots defensive tackle Davon Godchaux are engaged to be married.
The couple took to social media on Tuesday (May 30) to share their exciting news with gorgeous photos from the proposal, which took place in Capri, Italy.
The caption on the Instagram photo carousels read, “The blessings keep pouring, grateful for this new chapter and soon to be married and a forever to go ♾️📍Capri , Italy 🇮🇹 💍💎”
In another post, Chanel added, “One of the best gifts in life is a lifetime of adventures! My soulmate, protector, backbone, and best friend the best memories are yet to come ❤️💍💎 📍Capri🇮🇹 Italy”
Davon took to Instagram to share a few words of his own about his engagement to Chanel.
First of all, I can’t even lie I was nervous ahh hell😂 and I never thought I would be getting down on one knee but LOVE will make you do some amazing things in life!
Chanel I love you so much and I wouldn’t have rather spend this moment with no one else by my side!
From the moment we met I knew it was something about you and how much you value having a FAMILY that was really important to me!

The engagement comes just three weeks after the couple announced they were expecting their first child together.
Chanel Iman and Davon Godchaux went Instagram official in April of 2022 when they shared a photo of themselves hugged up at the Revolve Festival during Coachella.
This will be baby no. 3 for the 32-year-old model, who is already mom to daughters, Cassie, 3, and Cali, 4½, from her previous marriage to Sterling Shepard.
Chanel and Sterling tied the knot in March 2018, but the New York Giants wide receiver filed for divorce in June 2021 to end their four-year union.
Davon is already a proud dad to his 7½-year-old son, Davon Godchaux II, from a previous relationship.
Chanel Iman recently shared a photo of the blended family at the Nichelodeon Resort in Rivera Maya and Davon commented, “My beautiful family.”
