Sugar Shane Mosley recently appeared on “The Art of Dialogue” show and gave his perspective on the Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr. beef.

Oscar and Floyd fought each other on May 5, 2007, at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.

At the time, the boxing match was the most lucrative ever, with $130 million in generated revenue.

Floyd won the fight in 12 rounds by a split decision and acquired the WBC super welterweight title.

Shane Mosley believes Oscar De La Hoya has always been jealous of Floyd because he became the bigger star.

Maybe it’s a little bit of jealousy on Oscar’s part, a little bit.

Because… and Floyd rubs it in because Oscar got the gold medal, Floyd didn’t.

Oscar was first with all the money and the hype, and then Floyd kind of came through the back door and became, you know, bigger.

So, I believe in Oscar’s eyes, he might think that, you know, he’s supposed to be the bigger man.

And Floyd’s like, ‘No, you’re not bigger. I’m the biggest. I’m the greatest. I’m this, I’m that.’

That’s the beef they have.
