Steve Harvey’s life story is headed to the big screen!
Objectively Good Media (OGM) is developing “Seventy-Two,” a biopic that dives into a defining 72-hour period before Steve’s game-changing performance at the Apollo Theatre in 1993.
This isn’t just another biopic; it’s an intimate look at Harvey’s struggles and triumphs that shaped his legendary career.
Producers Mohamed Kheir and Matthew R. Cooper of OGM are teaming up with East 112, Steve Harvey’s production company run alongside Thabiti Stephens, Steve Harvey Global’s Chief Strategy Officer.
While the project is still in its early stages with no writer attached yet, Steve’s excitement for the film is already palpable.
“I’ve been reluctant to make a movie about my life for years, until I read the pitch for ‘Seventy-Two.’ It focuses on one of the most difficult moments in my journey and career, and shows the world that hope is never truly lost,” Harvey shared.
“Seventy-Two” spotlights Steve Harvey’s transition from a stable sales job to the uncertain world of stand-up comedy in his late 20s.
